Kineo in for a double win at Totara Awards

News

Kineo is delighted to announce that we’ll be receiving two Totara Awards for Best Hospitality and Travel Project for our work with Mitchell & Butlers and Best Not-for-profit Project with The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). The Totara Awards were created to celebrate the best projects and highest-performing Totara Partners around the world. Receiving the award for its innovative approach and measurable impact, Mitchells & Butlers Learning Environment (MABLE) provided a one stop shop learning platform with personality. Employing over 46,000 people, Mitchells & Butlers is the umbrella brand for over 1,700 pubs, restaurants and bars in the UK including All Bar One, Harvester and Browns. Partnering with Kineo and Totara to push boundaries, the solution harnessed the power of Totara Social and Totara Learn to create a seamless and interactive learner experience. The solution is designed to tap into the social nature of their learner demographic and industry by putting social learning front and centre.

Winning the award for Best Not-for-profit Project, Kineo worked with IPA to develop and launch a native mobile app for iOS and Android, which integrates easily with Totara. IPA is widely recognised as the world’s most influential professional body for advertising and marketing communications, and it offers a range of courses and qualifications, which are the global standard for learning and development in the advertising industry. The app provides learners with the ability to download the majority of IPA’s course content for offline access. Completion data is then synced back to Totara whenever learners go back online.

Indre Dragunaite, Head of Learning Technologies, IPA, said,

"Not only has our learner feedback got better since the launch, but the number of learner support queries has also gone down, which enables us to spend less time managing access issues and bug fixes but instead spend more time enabling learners to do better. The smooth delivery and management of online examinations was key to our global growth and I was happy that a simple solution through Totara proposed by Kineo has worked effortlessly for us."

Katie White, Learning Design and Programmes Manager for Mitchells and Butlers, commented,

"We hadn’t allowed ourselves to be constrained by the realities of what was possible and had some really out-there ideas. Kineo were clued up about current thinking in learning and design and just as willing as us to get creative. They absolutely bought into what we were trying to achieve and were really honest about what was possible now and in the future. It was their open, enthusiastic collaboration with us that helped to turn our wild ideas into an innovative reality."

Kineo will be receiving our awards at the Totara Partner Meetup in London on February 12th. Watch this space for more from the night.
