Embracing the shift across Victorian healthcare
Shaping the future of learning
The Victorian Minister for Health and Ambulance Services recently stated that the 2019/20 Budget delivers on the Labor Government’s $3.8 billion plan to build modern hospitals for a growing Victoria, with two million more patients expected to be treated over the next year.
This increasing focus on healthcare within Victoria is reflected in the year on year growth of the Victorian Healthcare Week event, with 2019 recording in excess of 1000 attendees.
This year’s theme; ‘Patient Experience’, embraced the shift that is taking place across Victorian healthcare, where the industry is moving from a focus on patient outcomes and efficiency, to one that also tracks, measures and improves the overall consumer experience.
With Kineo APAC always looking at, talking with and listening to the healthcare industry, we relished the opportunity to engage with our Victorian clients, strategic partners and future customers, at this year’s event at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
We connected with people from various disciplines including infrastructure, facilities management, technology and eHealth, not to mention frontline healthcare workers across acute care, residential care, community care and social assistance services.
Kineo, as a Spotlight Partner, sponsored one of our major subject matter experts, Frontline Care Solutions, to deliver a plenary on ‘Life after the Royal Commission – How to Stay Ahead of the Game’. Dr Drew Dwyer delivered an engaging, dynamic and interactive session on the benefits of developing an evidence-based Clinical Governance Framework for the new Aged Care Quality Standards.
At the stand, Product Owners and Health Leads provided expert advice on appropriate product solutions. Furthermore, we drew the crowds with intimate toolbox talks from Benetas, Frontline Care Solutions, HICMR and O’Shea and Associates on current industry issues and opportunities.
In addition, we promoted our recently launched tool intended to assist organisations to identify and select Kineo Courses that may assist them to implement as well as maintain their compliance with the new Aged Care Quality Standards in a simple visual presentation. You can download your copy here.
